25-year-old Fort Collins man, Mattew D. Burklow, was found dead on Longs Peak on Tuesday according to the Daily Camera. 

Burklow’s body was found Tuesday afternoon by Rocky Mountain National Park rangers after the rangers where notified the man did not show up for work at 4 p.m.

He was planning to hike the Keyhole Route Monday at 2 a.m.  His body was found about 1,000 feet below the route according to the press release.

Weather delayed recovery of the body on Tuesday afternoon and night.  

His body was rescued Thursday afternoon by helicopter and transported to a helicopter pad in the park, Upper Beaver Meadows, according to the Daily Camera.
