One Direction's Louis Tomlinson is getting support from his fans as he takes up the side project of professional soccer.
The singer made his official debut as a guest player on his local soccer team the Doncaster Rovers on Wednesday. He started with the team last year, but didn't make it very far through a game before getting injured.
BBC News says a reserve game for the Rovers usually brings in a crowd of about 100 -- but over 4,000 tickets were sold for Wednesday's game.
Young girls were photographed lined up outside the stadium waiting for the One Direction member, who was welcomed to the team as a part of charity partnership with a local children's hospice.
Louis made it onto the field about an hour into the game, and made a few passes for the team.
