I want to discuss the absolutely terrible thing that was said by Stephen A Smith on ESPN’s First Take. They were talking about how Ray Rice got only a two game suspension for beating his wife.
Stephen A smith’s statement from ESPN First Take:
“We keep talking about the guys, we know you have no business putting your hands on a woman…. [but] let’s make sure we [women] don’t do anything to provoke wrong actions…. Also make sure that you can do your part to do whatever you can do to make sure it doesn’t happen.”
I’ve never been so mad in my life. Granted Smith did say it is never ok for a man to put his hands on a woman but, when is it ever ok to say that the woman provoked getting a beating by a man? I think this is complete crap, I am so furious with Stephen A Smith. How dare he say “don’t provoke any wrong doing on yourself.” That is despicable. If a woman gets beat by a man it is always the man’s fault, even if the woman is attacking you, WALK AWAY. It is that easy. Saying don’t provoke a woman is like saying it was the spoon that made me fat. It is just idiotic and stupid to even have those words come out of anyone’s mouth.
