Gov. Jared Polis' declaration that March 20, 2021 should be MEAT FREE has sparked quite the backlash across Colorado. It's just one more piece of evidence that Polis doesn't understand and/or appreciate rural Colorado.
Logan Country Commissioner Byron Pelton said the following to Complete Colorado
“I heard several people mention it as a war on rural Colorado,” said Pelton. “These are family farming operations that have livestock and produce and they are very frustrated with the treatment of agriculture right now by the Governor.”
I'm guessing many folks will spark of the grill on March 20 & many restaurants will have some great specials on beef plates!
