At first we were told that the BIG SNOW EVENT would begin on Friday night. Friday night came and went but there was no snow. Then we were told it would be a very rough weather Saturday. Saturday gave us nothing of the sorts and at this point it seemed as if the meteorologists had missed this forecast in a big way. I admit I cracked a few jokes about Colorado weather folks. Then came late Saturday night. The storm finally unleashed its fury and made up for its late start.
When all said in done, the meteorologists might have missed the timing but they were surprisingly accurate with their predictions on accumulations.
