Rare Two-Headed Snake Found

Wildlife officials in Virginia were amazed when they received a call  from a resident who had captured a two-headed copperhead snake found  slithering in a flower bed. The doubly-venomous creature was  subsequently turned over to the state's department of Wildlife  Management and Control, who posted pictures of the oddity on their Facebook page last week. A two-headed snake being discovered  in the wild is rather rare occurrence since they often do not survive  very long due to their unique condition.

Fortunately for this newfound snake, which is believed to be about two weeks old, it is reportedly now under the care of a viper specialist. While the creature could,  conceivably, bite an unfortunate individual who might encounter it with  both of its heads, the expert said that, considering the snake's age, it  was an unlikely scenario.

More on this story, including what may become of the snake now that it is living in captivity, at the Coast to Coast AM website.
