Is Netflix glorifying suicide?

"13 Reasons Why" is a new show on Netflix, which takes people on a journey of a high school teen, who makes the unfortunate decision to take her own life. As someone who watched the show, it did keep me interested; but I thought the creators may have glorified the choice of suicide to a young adult audience.  In the study which is posted on this page, suicide went up drastically in the three weeks of the show launch.  Throughout the teens journey, she does go through some very terrifying things that are very hard and very real to a lot of people especially young adult women to deal with. There is also the recent News of Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, and Chris Cornell from  Soundgarden and Audioslave; they both made the choice to take their own lives; I think this is a cry out for help to open a conversation. With a topic like this it is always good to get it out in the open. If you are struggling please, please, please know; there are people who care very much for you and you are loved. If you need someone to talk to, please call this number 1-800-273-8255, and someone will be on the line to help you.
