Although making history is great, with Colorado being the first state to elect an openly gay Governor; I think we should celebrate someone for what they have accomplished, not how they chose to identify sexually. This is 2019, honestly who cares if Jared Polis is gay, that is not what is going to make him a good or bad Governor. Let's instead focus on some accomplishments, which are honestly pretty impressive in the business world. One of his major accomplishments was founding Proflowers.com and he also co-founded a greeting card company called Bluemountain.com. I don't care what you believe or don't believe, I think it is worth noting that Jared Polis really didn’t use his sexuality for political gain. It is funny though, because now all the democrats in Colorado can talk about is how he is gay. I just don't understand why we have to celebrate someone for who they chose to be with, instead of their accomplishments. Honestly at this point in the world, who cares if a person is gay or straight? The only question we should have, can the person get the job done?
