Is The Term "Owner" Now Offensive?

Apparently the term “Owner” in the NBA, is now offensive. Commissioner of the NBA Adam Silver wants to get rid of the term "Owner" and start referring to the owners as “Governors” of teams. This is kind of a silly thing to do, but in this modern day age where everything is offensive, I can’t say I’m surprised. I mean it could just be me, but I have never once sat down and thought, “Hey that is so racist and offensive... To call a person an Owner of a team in the NBA, after he purchased such team (Making him the OWNER by purchase)” This is really a silly thing to get upset about, and it is also the kind of stuff that turns people off to sports. Why after all this time is it now a big deal? The real question I have though, is someone seriously offended by the term owner?
