Fort Collins is not going to follow suite and will not cull geese and use meat to help people in need. Denver is talking about culling geese and using the meat after inspection by the USDA to help families in need. People may not know Fort Collins is one of the reasons Canadian geese are so populated in the state. Gurney Crawford is the "father Goose" as he is known because he introduced goslings into College Lake near the Foothills campus at Colorado State. He was an advocate for populating geese in the state for 60 years. While I think there is an over population of geese in the state (ask any golfer), I don’t think culling them and eating the meat is the right thing to do!
