Nebraska opens up Big 10 play with a win against illinois. It was a close game, but the Huskers took care of business and did what they needed to do, in order to get a check mark in the win column. Martinez played a near flawless game going 22/34 327 yards and 3 tds. It was a fight from start to finish of this one. Illinois gave the Cornhuskers all they could handle. It was 21-14 illinois going into the half, and even into the at the end of 3 the score was 35-27 and the Huskers found themselves behind. The Huskers came to fight in the fourth quarter out scoring Illinois 15-3. In the end, The Huskers had a hard fought BIG 10 win. They have a very difficult test this week as they host the number 5 team in the Nation and BIG 10 power house Ohio State. They are going to have to play a near perfect game to get a win this week, but that is the beauty of college football, you never know who could pull a win out!
