Kelsey Reinhardt - President, CEO of CatholicVote; Michael Allen, GOP candi

Kelsey Reinhardt, President and CEO of CatholicVote joins Dan to discuss President Trump's recent comments on the Hyde Amendment, potentially opening the door to further federal funding for abortions nationwide.

Kelsey was appointed to the role of President and CEO of CatholicVote in 2025. She joined the organization asHead of Media and Evangelization in 2024, bringing with her a rich background integrating deeptheological insight, global advocacy, and mission-driven media leadership. 

Born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming, Kelsey attended the University of Notre Dame on a fullbasketball scholarship and graduated in just three years.After that, she set off on a rich and varied career path that began with the role of LegislativeAssistant for the Office of Government Liaison for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops,where she worked on immigration and refugee-related issues. Her journey then led her to parishand educational ministry and a rewarding opportunity to serve as a missionary in Nigeria. 

Sensing a call to consecrated life, Kelsey spent nearly a decade with the Dominican Sisters ofSt. Cecilia, deepening her faith and eventually discerning a different vocation before professingfinal vows. 

After religious life, Kelsey held senior roles at EWTN News, where she helped launch the firstArabic-language Catholic news agency in Iraq for persecuted Christians and simultaneously ledfive international news agencies in six languages. She also served as Interim Executive Directorof Catholic News Agency. 

Kelsey holds a B.A. in Theology from Notre Dame and an M.A. in Theology from AugustineInstitute–both magna cum laude. She and her husband, Matt, married in 2023.
